Is it possible that Mary could be sister to Elizabeth Illston of Aylestone who married William Jayes in 1813? Mary seems to have had an illigitimate daughter, Sarah, in 1815, who died aged 3 years in 1818. 1841 Census: Is this the correct family? Mary Jayes 45 Farm Servant Henry 15 Edward 15 Samuel 12 There is an Elizabeth Illston who married William Jays in Aylestone 24 Aug 1813. I note a witness at the marriage of Mary to Joseph Jays was Elizabeth. It could be the same person, perhaps they were sisters?
