Volunteers wanted !

The Society is intending to undertake a number of projects and would welcome volunteers, whether Society members or not, who would like to help. Articles, based on analysis of the results, will be published regularly in the Newsletter.

Amongst the projects that it is hoped to undertake over time are the following:

  • Recording the gravestones and monuments in the Middlewich Cemetery
  • Tracing the route of the roman road from Middlewich to Chester
  • Forming an oral history archive to record the memories of people in Middlewich
  • Analysing and cataloguing the Middlewich Heritage Society Archives so that it can be used as a resource by the schools and residents of the town
  • Updating the photographic record of Middlewich
  • Field walking to identify potential sites of historical interest.
  • Transcribing St Michael’s parish registers

These projects will provide interesting and enjoyable activities for the participants.

If you would like to help, please contact David Leathwood on 01606 833 897 or Betty Williams on 01606 832 195.
